Meet the Team

Wiebke Wagner - Co-Founder

I was infected with the horse virus at an early age - when I went pony riding in a German attraction park. Of course, I wouldn't approve “using” horses in that way today, but that’s the way it was in those days. This was followed by hacking out on ponies, riding lessons and finally my own horse. While my friends were putting their feet up between A-levels and university, I was busy working in an old people's home so that I could finally fulfil my dream of having my own horse.

Tom Dautz - Co-Founder

"I will never become a horse person". That's what I told Wiebke when we visited her Mira together for the first time.

The reason for this was that I was shaped in childhood with regard to horses. First of all, I was once invited to an elementary school colleague's house. This farmer boy showed me his pride and joy - his Haflinger, which unfortunately was standing knee-deep in its own mud. Sport on television was also something I enjoyed. Towards the end of the program at that time gallop races, jumping or trotting races were shown. The procedure was quite similar in the 70s - early 80s - the horses were driven from start to finish with the crop.

So that's what horse keeping looked like - standing in the dirt and hitting it - so nothing for an animal lover, which I am.

Lisa Hofmann - Affiliate Manager

Hello dear horse person,

I would also like to introduce myself. My name is Lisa and I am in charge of email correspondence at "The Equine Voice".

What I particularly like about "The Equine Voice" is that the horse is seen as a partner with whom we stick - rain or shine. I have a 20-year-old warmblood gelding with whom I do dressage.

Besides keeping the horse healthy and fit, enjoying our time together is the most important thing for us. Through "The Equine Voice" I get valuable tips that really help us.

I am delighted to be part of the team behind "The Equine Voice".
